Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Team at Sponsor-ed!

2009 has been a busy, successful and educational year for sponsor-ed.  Busy; we went from 25 schools onboard in January to over 180 now.  Successful; we are now running active advertising campaigns.  Educational because we're learning as we go!

We hope you have enjoyed your website this year and that it is fast becoming ingrained as a prime communication tool for your school community.  Thank-you for all of your support this year and we are looking forward to a bumper 2010!

Kiss the Cake Bake Sale Goodbye!

Sponsor-ed can proudly announce that we have given away 58 cheques this year!  In the past 3 months we have had several new advertisers begin campaigns with us and the result is fundraising dollars for the school.

We are not junk!

Being an online company means the majority of our communication is done online, predominantly by email. But we think we have hit a snag with getting our emails delivered successfully to your inbox.  We think our emails are going to your junk mailbox!

Often when an email is sent to you from a new email address, the mail program you are using (Outlook, Mac Mail, Entourage, etc) will filter each email as it receives it. If your mail program doesn’t recognise the sender from your address book, contacts or sender list, it will send that email to your ‘junk mailbox’.  more...

YouTube... not just for Funniest Home Videos

I heard an interesting quote recently that the internet used to be a place we visited for entertainment. Now it’s a part of our daily life habits. A new way I recently found that is a really helpful aspect of the internet is YouTube. Whilst I have been sent many many links to funny YouTube clips, I never really thought laterally to what else was on there. Recently I was speaking to a friend who has recently had a baby and is at home in full nesting mode.  more...

Website tip - The Media Gallery

Empty out the Media Gallery in the CMS as you go. The more that’s in there the more cumbersome it is for you to manoeuvre through when you are looking for a file. If you no longer need the doc/PDF/photo, delete it!

Did you know?

The Internet is the fastest-growing communication tool.  It took radio broadcasters 38 years to reach an audience of 50 million, television 13 years, and the Internet just 4 years.
